Australian "Silverwood" Barreled Arrow Shafts |
|
Wood shafting is often overlooked these days
in favor of man made materials because of the increasing difficulty and
rising costs in obtaining nicely matched sets of shafts for constant
performing arrows. Alternative woods are more and more popular and offer
good options these days. Dimensions: 5/16" nock end, 23/64" mid-shaft, and 11/32" fore-shaft at usual cut lengths. The mid- & fore-shaft vary slightly with lighter & heavier spines. They typically require 11/32" points, but may use 5/16" or 23/64" points for longer or shorter lengths, respectively. The nock end is tapered for reference, but will need to be re-tapered for best nock fit. The spine and weight are marked on the sides of the individual shafts - easily sanded off prior to finishing. Shafts are sold in vacuum sealed dozens only. The seal may be broken if we feel the need to double-check spines prior to shipment. ** Two thumbs up from all of our test shooters! |
